Beginning in law school, Julia discovered that family law was where her passion lied. Julia has spent her entire career handling divorce, custody, child support and other family law cases.

Julia Roose founded Roose Law Firm in 2012 in order to be able to give her clients the individualized attention they deserve.

Julia has lived in the Des Moines area since 1998. She attended the University of Northern Iowa and graduated with a BA in Economics. In 2001 she graduated from Drake Law School in the top 10% of her class with High Honors.
Julia is married and has two amazing daughters and two spoiled dogs. She enjoys spending time outside, especially when the weather is warm. Her favorite thing to do is take off on a road trip, camper in tow, with her family and dogs and explore some of beautiful parts of our country. She is especially fond of mountains and the ocean. If you need any tips on family camping road trips, she would love to share the knowledge she has learned through her family’s adventures from Montana to Florida to places in between.
